The launch of the Eastern Region Economic Forum 2017
Under
the patronage of the Prince of the Eastern Region, His Royal Highness
Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, Asharqia Chamber will launch the activities of the Eastern Region Economic Forum 2017 at the Sheraton Hotel in Dammam, with the participation
of about 22 government officials, businessmen, economists, The forum, which will continue through Thursday, will review the
policy of diversifying the economic base of the Kingdom and ways to
promote its business partnership.
The forum, under the title "Partners in the Vision of Tomorrow", will
discuss more than 20 topics in three main topics, with the aim of
improving economic recommendations that will enhance private sector
partnership in implementing the vision of the Kingdom of 2030.

said that organizing Asharqia Chamber today for the
activities of the Eastern Region Economic Forum 2017 is aimed at strengthening
ties and stimulating the constructive interaction between the public and
private sectors in order to enhance the role of the private sector in
the national economy, which is currently embarking on diversifying its
national revenues through exploiting all the state's assets Of
the natural, human and strategic components, pointing that the
Chamber always provides support and advice through its various channels
because the business sector in various economic fields in turn fully,
and by the awareness and constant encouragement and help him to reach

forum is a major platform for communication between the two sides of
the national economy (public and private sectors) to raise the
challenges and ways to deal with them. .
Al Ataishan explained that the forum, which is being inaugurated today by
the Prince of the Eastern Region and the partners in
the vision of tomorrow, is an extension of the Chamber's initiatives
aimed at strengthening the business partnership in the national economy.
The forum aims to engage in scientific discussions with government
officials involved in policy Economic development, and come out with specific recommendations on
the role of the private sector in the process of economic transformation
taking place, hoping that this forum will come out with recommendations
in line with the vision of the Kingdom of 2030, which stressed that the
private sector is one of the most important elements of the kingdom's
future.

forum is a great opportunity to meet and discuss the ways in which
private sector partnerships are strengthened in the national economy. He
pointed that despite the multiplicity of topics, it is based on one
vision of the participation of the private sector In economic development.

highlighted that the Forum highlights all the issues that contribute to
strengthening the partnership between the private and government
sectors to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's vision to
diversify national income by addressing the macro economic outlook and
the role of economic integration in achieving balanced development, and then focusing on ways to enhance competitiveness in the business sector.
He
added that the forum and its four
sessions, is trying to discuss the requirements of private sector
partnership in more than one angle and in more than one economic field,
as it discusses the challenges of partnership in the commercial and
retail sector, small and medium enterprises and foreign trade, as well
as in the contracting and industrial sectors , as well as ways to enhance its competitiveness, as well as
clarifying the roles of industrial cities and government decisions and
promising opportunities in the military industries.

said that the forum hopes for a strong participation of the private
sector in economic development in line with the vision of the Kingdom of
2030, which has made the business sector a cornerstone for the future,
pointing out that this forum is trying to develop solutions to
everything that would face a partnership on foundations and strong private sector in the national economy.

explained that the day will witness two sessions, the first being in the presence of the Prince of the region and his Excellencies
the participating ministers. The second session will be followed by a
dialogue with His Excellency the participating ministers. It will
include topics related to improving the business environment as an
effective strategy in promoting The competitiveness of the national economy, the future vision of
Emiratisation policies, ways to activate the participation of the
private sector in government decision-making, as well as the
government's tendencies towards the privatization of some services.

first is titled "The role of economic integration in achieving
balanced development", the second session titled "Prospects for the
sustainability of the construction industry" and the third and final
session titled " Business competitiveness, "pointing that these meetings aim to
reach the challenges faced by the private sector in its partnership
effectively in the national economy and the changes.
